So the answer as with a majority of things related to fitness or nutrition is going to be..
It depends.
Looking back at clients I trained I've noticed that some are more successful by pushing their breakfast back and having their first meal of the day around lunch.
Or as most people call it "intermittent fasting"
Some individuals are better off having their breakfast.
One way is to look at it from this perspective.
If you push your first meal back, do you have a tendency to gorge on more calories in the evening time?
Or
Are you able to stay in a calorie deficit and lose weight?
If you do have your breakfast, are you the type of person that feels and performs better, therefore able to stay in a calorie deficit and lose fat?
Or do you end up eating more calories during the day
The best way to find out is to experiment with both options and see which method helps you achieve a calorie deficit.
I hope this helps
